I think I am about locked and loaded!!

So evidently I am committed *okie gets ready to smack anyone with a smart aleck comment* to going to Houston in July. One part of the airline ticket is done and I will get the other taken care of next Friday when I get paid. I certainly hope it is worth the trip! HA HA HA

Actually CKC doesn't interest me very much, but it will be something to do. I am more interested and excited about spending a week with my friend Carmen! And I will finally get to meet my sexy oily man, aka Carmen's husband, and her old azz mother!! I just hope her mother knows she has to stay out in the garage while I am there. We will be sure to leave her a fresh bowl of water with the dogs. And since she likes dog treats *really long story* she should be just fine!! *okie knows she is so gonna get a butt kickin for writing all this on her blog but thinks it is so worth it*.

I got some more things done around the house this morning. I was up early so I could have the lawn mower ready for the kid who was going to mow my yard today. He did a fantastic job. Of course anything is fantastic when I don't have to mow the yard!

And guess what else I did? I designed a softball layout using, are you ready for this??

Are you sure??

Well okay....

USING MY GYPSY!

*okie watches as about 20 people fall over faint*
. Um, will someone make sure they didn't hit their heads too hard? Thanks! Yep it was really simple so I didn't mind using the Gypsy. Also, I was able to sit on my new couch *okie notices the dirty look from Lucy*, err, I mean Lucy's new couch *okie gives a huge eye roll* while using the Gypsy. So that was pretty cool!

So off for a nap, or something I guess. Maybe I will feel like crafting tonight!

  4. My "old azz" mother is going to whip your "young azz" when you get here. I almost said "when she see's you", but I couldn't give you such an awesome segue!! Quit telling people about her nutrition also, that's our secret! You better watch it, she may have the garage, but you'll get the roof!

  9. So glad you decided to go. Being with friends is always GREAT! I do know what you mean, I went to Phoenix in July last year and drove to a convention in LasVegas with a friend in an un-air conditioned van just to be able to spend time with a friend. It was worth every minute of the 118 degrees on our way back. Good friends are few and far between, spend time with them.

  14. Hmmm ... I read this entire post, honest I did ... something about going to Texas in July (BTW ... are you NUTS??? It's mighty HOT there in July!) ... something about some greasy guy, or was it some oily dude? Something about someone's dog treat eating fat azz mother that they were going to lock in a garage (I totally must have misread that part, because I know that Okie would never disrespect someone's Ma!)

... but then my head got all jumbled, dizziness overtook me, my thoughts were lost in a sea of tears and I think I even fainted, and I just just don't remember much more ... did I truly read correctly? Did Okie say she used her Gypsy???

OMG, OMG, OMG ... Elephants are purple with green poka-dots and orange stripes, pigs do fly, fireworks are lighting up the sky in my craft room (hey ... wait a sec, there is no sky in my craft room, what's up with that?), elves (not trolls) are doing the happy dance, and I just fell out of my chair! It appears that Miracles do happen.

I can see it now, and what a vision of loveliness to behold ... there she is ... Okie, the crafty genius that she is, snuggled in all nice and comfy, next to Lucy on "their" new couch ... designing away on her "not so new" Gypsy! And there is only one thing I have to say about that ...

IT'S ABOUT DARN TIME GIRL !!!!

    *wink*
    =)
    Hugz,
