My Oh My! It's Been Awhile...

I guess when you get out of the swing of a routine it is hard to get back in it and that is what had happened with me blogging. First off let me say thank you to all those who have inquired if I am okay. I am fine and dandy but haven't been doing much crafting in the last few months. I have done some things here and there but nothing fabulous, outstanding or new. I do have some stories to tell, even though they might be out of date by now I will try to get around to posting those, such as my trip to Houston back in March. I will be taking another one in June since I love driving my new car and the miracle of audio books keep me from dreading such drives.

Sometimes I forget that there are some folks who just like to read what I type up and post, which is still beyond me most of the time, and I figure I won't post anything if I don't have anything crafty going on. I will try to keep up more...*okie makes the Girl Scout oath gesture* I promise.

So with that I leave you for today and I will be making a post tomorrow about how I used Make The Cut with the Cricut Explore because I am starting to get a lot of inquiries about the ability to do such a thing due to the huge amount of frustration that people are having with the software that you are suppose to use with the Cricut Explore. I still honestly believe the Explore is a superior cutting machine and I want people to love the machine as much as I do, even if they hate the software...like I do.

Okay I'm off for now to type up a post on the whole subject!

  1. I am so happy to see you post something Shirley. I've been missing visits to your Blog. You mentioned something about not understanding how some of us like to read your posts, even when it isn't about anything crafty ... so I'd like to share my own point of view on that. First of all, I do enjoy seeing your craft projects ... cards, layouts, mini albums, altered clothing, vinyl crafts, tutorials and demos, new product finds, or whatever else it might be. But, I also enjoy hearing about and seeing photos of your latest adventures, vacations, shopping trips, painted toes, Christmas Parties, special menus and yummy BBQ delights, landlord/tenant woes, work/client related tales, stories about your daughter, family and friends, animal antics, and any other issue that you have a particularly strong belief in (for or against), etc. The reason is because you have a very unique way of expressing yourself ... you speak in a way that most of us can relate to and often saying the very things we have thought ourselves but didn't know how to express ... it's what you say, and the way you say it and the mere fact that you don't care if anyone reads it, or agrees with it, or even likes it ... it's your thought and you felt like saying it, so there! You make us think a little deeper, laugh a little more, and occasionally even shed a tear or two. But mostly you makes us glad that we took a moment to stop by and read whatever silly, quirky, insightful, amazing thought you decided to share.

Nope, I am not trying to butter you up, or earn some sort of special brownie points. I'm just speaking the truth and hopefully encourage you to post more frequently (in between all those other things that keep you so busy just living life). Soooo ... quit wasting time reading my goofy comment, and start blogging! (*wink*)
