And for my next series of cards......

I have had this cart for sometime now and I haven't gotten to use it like I had planned. Of course I don't mean I had a bunch of wonderful plans for it, but rather I had wanted to use it more than just the once I have in the past.

Oh what is the cart? Hello Kitty Greetings! Yep that is my series of cards for a few days! I think Hello Kitty is so darn cute! I kept resisting it but then when I kept seeing what people were making with it I just had to get it. Well that probably over 6 months ago! *okie feels sorry for poor lil ol Hello Kitty that was stuck in the cart box for so long*. But now she is free!

For my first card I decided to use the airplane cut. I am not sure I care for the patterns of papers I used on the card. I like the concept...just not the card so much. However, my daughter being the precious child she is, said she loves it! *okie wonders if her daughter says such things hoping okie will do daughter's laundry*

The stamping is done with a set of Just Rite stamps, but the inside of the card is computer generated.

I used the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder on the cloud to give it some dimension and then lightly inked the edges and swirls. The patterned papers are from a DCWV Spring stack from a few years ago.

I do have to be honest and say after I put this one away for a little while and then went back and looked at it I did like it better than I did when I first finished it.

Hello Kitty isn't too bad to cut, some of the smaller parts can be tricky but using Tweezer Bee's are definitely a huge help!

  1. Cute card. I bought the Hello Kitty cart because my DD loves her and I have only used it once to make my DD a couple cuts. I am going to have to pull this one out again.

  3. Oh, Okie, I did the same thing -- wanted kitty soooo badly and then kept saying "you don't need it!" LOVE your card and the pp airplane is perfect. (and you don't have to do my laundry!)

You are the best -- so I will be making every single card just like yours this week (I need LOTS of help and encouragement!)!

LOL LOL LOL -- " *okie feels sorry for poor lil ol Hello Kitty that was stuck in the cart box for so long*. But now she is free!" I've also gotta let kitty out of the box to be FREE!! (Thanks as always for your wonderful instructions and commentary).

  4. I will be posting the .cut file and gypsy file tomorrow. I have started doing two cards to a file if I am only doing 4 of each that way I can get the elements for 8 cards cut at once. *okie thinks that is yet another one of her genius ideas*

  10. Okie -- I agree with Shiane. I like the card. I have a heck of a time with Kitty's bow. You make it look great. If there's a secret, let me in on it. I have a heck of a time with all the paper-piecing.

  11. Kathy if you notice I didn't add the small pieces on the bow because they were more holes in the paper than cuts I could use! LOL. For small pieces I think it always helps to have a really fresh mat.

  12. I have had this one for awhile too. I was having a hard time figuring out how the parts go together. I thought it was tricky.
I love paper on the airplane. It looks great.

  14. It's really funny that you should choose this cartridge. I bought it last year to use for my neice's birthday. Which I did. Then I never used it again. Until this past week. I've used it 3 or 4 more times! I am a Cricut card fairy and we had a couple of little girls cards to make. Plus I had a personal card to do. And I used a different cut each time. I love this sweet little kitty! OH and my neice.... she'll be 35 in October, and yes she'll get another Kitty card.
