Ghiradelli Box with BONUS Candy Favors

It seems at Christmas time, and other holidays as well, we are rushing around trying to figure out cute little things to make to dress up simple things like candy to make it a little more special. One of my favorite things is a little box that holds those scrumptious delectable Ghiradelli Squares!

I have made these for Christmas and Valentine's day and they were always a hit. I try to watch after the holiday's for them to go on clearance so I can use them for the next holiday since they can be quite expensive.

These little boxes are quick to cut and decorate and are great for coworkers, friends, stocking stuffers, etc.

There are instructions out there for cutting these without a machine but why do that when we have perfectly great machines that can make the task so much faster and simpler, no measuring is always a good thing in my book!

In the Zip file I have also included the Lollipop Holder and Tic Tac Holder.

The lollipop holder is another fast and easy cut and they are just adorable! You can dress them up for any holiday by choosing different papers. They would also be great for birthday favors.

I have included 5 different decorative tops to choose from so the favor can be used for what ever occasion needed.

The Tic Tac holder does have a snowman cut but I also included a full cut blank cover so you can decorate anyway you wish. There are so many ways to decorate that I can't even list them all.

I ran red line tape along the middle of the cover and applied ribbon to keep the cover closed and then also used the red line tape down the spine to keep the Tic Tac box in place.

My Friend Made Some Lollipop Holders!

Sometimes I'm lucky enough to have people take pictures of the projects they make with my files and when I am able to see the pictures I ask for permission to post them on here to show them off. This time my friend Robin and her son made the LOLLIPOP HOLDERS.

Made by my friend Robin and her son.
She had posted the pictures on Facebook and there were a few of the both of them but wanting to protect anonymity I asked if I could post this particular picture but let me tell ya...her son is adorbale and he looked like he was having a great time with the project. And he did say he had a blast making them and his favorite part of the project was being able to use her machine to cut all all the pieces.

I love love the papers they used for the project and I am sure the recipients will love the work they put into the lollipop holders.

Lollipop Holder - From the Past

This is a file I made back in 2013 but thought I would repost it since there are so many new users of SVG files and the Valentine season is upon us which tends to make mother's of young children scamper around for cute easy party favors or gifts. I only made a few of these and think I gave them to my daughter to give to her friends. Often times I design a file and never use it because it's more about the challenge of the designing than it is the application of the design.

As you can see in the picture there are 4 different "top" designs you can choose from. All the scoring lines, holes for tying the lollipop in the holder and cuts for decorative paper are included in the file.

You should be able to get about 8 holders out of a 12x12 sheet of cardstock if you nudge them together and then lay 2 horizontally at the bottom, making it quite cost effective if you have to whip out a great number of them for a class full of children or co-workers.

SVG USERS - select all - all designs in the file you can delete the ones you don't want later - and  make sure to resize to height at 8.5" so the proportions are correct.

This is a picture of the ones I cut. I did use a heavy cardstock, specifically Stampin Up because I wanted them to be sturdy but probably any cardstock would work okay. This is a good way to use up some of those precious scraps as well since the pattern panel and the toppers don't take a whole lot paper to make.

I used ribbon to tie and keep the lollipop in place but twine or anything of that nature would work as well.

You can download the appropriate file below:

Lollipop Holder - File Available!

I have heard about some dies that are available that are for lollipop holders and I thought that was a cute idea. My problem though...well why would I get a die and have to do one at a time when I have machines that cut paper and I could cut a whole passel of holders just with a push of a button!

Maybe it was a little more work than pushing a button since I did have to make the file. It's amazing what a trapezoid, circle and rectangle can make! I did a little extra work and made a mat for the holders and I also made a few different "buttons" and even one tag.

Oh and notice the nice "texture" layer I did on the file! I played around with Make The Cut the other night and figured out how to do that and it makes it nice so you can see more of how things will look when patterned paper is used.

Here is the front few of the lollipop holder. I used Stampin Up cardstock for the base since it is a good heavy cardstock but I think any good cardstock would work good. The pattern paper is some scraps of a Basic Grey Lemonade pad I had and when I say scraps I do mean scraps! So if ya do have some scraps laying around this might be a great project to use them on instead of just tossing them in the trash.

I threaded the ribbon through the holes and just tied a bow on the front to keep the lollipop in place.

I think these would be great for favors for class parties, showers, or even just a little "thank you" or "thinking of you" treat. I wanted to really come up with some clever sayings and get some fantastic things done with these to post but I was too excited to share the file to take my time and come up with something cute!

The file includes the pieces that are in the first picture.

Lollipop holder and Card featuring Doodlecharms

Hey everyone! I am so excited to announce my first project as a Design Team member for Sweet Treat Thursday on Cuttlebug Challenge featuring the Cricut. The prizes on the Cuttlebug Challenge for the month of January are Everyday Paper Dolls and Sweet Treats cartridges for your Cricut! Make sure visit Cuttlebug Challenge and leave a comment so you can be entered to win!

For our premiere were were asked to use Doodlecharms. This cartridge has so many neat cuts that it is hard to decide, but luckily Maggie was sweet enough to narrow it down to a Valentine's Day theme so it did make it easier *okie loves easy*. I decided to make a lollipop holder and matching card for this weeks projects. Both have cut files furnished for you if you would like to make these fun projects!

Supplies for projects are as follows:
Cricut Expressions
Cricut cartridges - Doodlecharms, Plantin Schoolbook
Daisy D's Maybe Baby Collection 12x12 patterned cardstock
Cardstock in the following colors - Red, White, Pink
Printed SOMEBUNNY LOVES YOU from home computer
1/4" grosgrain ribbon, banana
Cuttlebug
Cuttlebug folder D'Vine Swirls
ATG gun and 1/4" adhesive
Signo UM 153 White gel pen
Eyelets

The first project is a 4x5 card. I used a card base that came in a set of 25 with envelopes to make my card. I do have the cut file for the SOMEBUNNY CARD and it requires the Doodlecharms cartridge and is set to cut 4 at a time. I also have the file for the SOMEBUNNY LOVES YOU! PRINTED PAPER that you can print out on MS Word if you would like to use it. One printed sheet will be enough for both projects. For the envelope I used one from the set and decorated the front and the flap to match the card.

Card instructions:
Card base 8 x 5" scored at 4 inches and folded, or cheater method of 4" x 5" to adhere to card base
Card mat cut at 3.5" x 4.5"
Stamp edge strip - cut at 2.75"
Envelope hearts - 2.75"
Heart (layers)- 2.5"
Bunny - 2.5"
See pictures for assembling pieces.

If you have Design Studio you can download the LOLLIPOP HOLDER and it is set to cut 4 at a time. For you baby bug users I do have a LOLLIPOP HOLDER GEO file that you can download. It is the basic holder and doesn’t have the specific cuts for this project but you can download both and then just use the Doodlecharms cuts from the file using the Plantin as the base.

If you need to make cuts without Design Studio, use following guidelines:

Lollipop Holder -
For base:
Cut a 6.5" x 3" rectangle from double sided cardstock
Score at 2 3/4" and 3 1/4" and fold on score lines
Using small home punch, punch hole in center between score lines
Using a slit punch (made by Stampin UP) punch in center on tall side, making sure front will slide under the punched flap.
For mats:
Large mat - cut pink cardstock at 2 3/8" x 2 1/2"
Smaller mat - cut printed word cardstock at 2 1/8" x 2 1/4"
Bunny - cut at 1 3/8"
Heart - Cut at 1 7/8"

See pictures for assembly.

I hope you guys have enjoyed my projects as much as I enjoyed bringing them to you! Again don't forget to visit Cuttlebug Challenge and leave a comment for your chance to win Everyday Paper Dolls or Sweet Treats!

Lollipop holder

A Cricut message board member asked if I could make a .cut file for a lollipop holder so she could use as party favors. I have had several requests for the file. Since the new E isn't cutting right I am unable to cut these to give a tutorial. Well I can cut them but they look kinda odd. I am going to go ahead and post the .cut files for download. I don't have instructions or pictures.

Lollipop holder Plantin - I think this will cut 3 at a time.

Lollipop holder George - This will only cut one at a time do to the dimensions of the holder.
