Thinking of You Flower Vine - Card

I saw a card on Pintrest that had a vine up the side and some flowers, I loved it so much I decided to steal the idea! I call this one FLOWER VINE, and you can click on the name to download the .cut file.

Supplies Used:
Cricut Expressions
Cricut Cherry Limeade cart
Cricut Wall Decor cart
SEI Madeline patterned paper
Coredintions Cardstock
Stampin Up Cardstock
Stampin Up Marker
Stampin Up Word Window Punch
Stampin Up Modern label Punch
brads

I sanded the paper for the flowers before cutting. I don't remember if I mentioned this before but after sanding you should get a paper towel and wipe the cardstock down to get rid of the "paper dust" that is on there. It will shine the paper back up and also keep you from getting the paper dust all on your Cricut mat. And I want to draw your attention to the vine...I DID NOT INK!! *okie hears the gasps and cracks up laughing*. Ya know what, I think it looks good anyway!!

The flowers are from Cherry Limeade. I cut them in 3 different sizes. I also cut two of the light pink layers for added petals. I curled up the top layer a little for dimension.

I came very close to making this a sympathy card and I think I might make some more in a different color and do sympathy ones. Oh wait, who am I kidding? Once I make a card design and cut it I  RARELY ever make it again! Guess I will have to come up with a new design for a sympathy card.

  2. What a great card Okie! Pretty flower and paper! Now why don't you ever reuse your design? I didn't think about doing that until I was having a "Dry Spell" so to speak with creativity..... It really helps to go back to an old card that you may have made and recreate it differently to help get those juices flowing.... Of course this is just a suggestion... It works for me when I need some inspiration.... :o)

  3. Very pretty card. It could be used for so many different occasions, which is nice. I love swirly vines on cards and layouts. They add such a fun feel.
