I am planning to attend a Swarm January 16th in Norman Oklahoma. The last one that Linda and I went to I didn't get a thing done! I was just sitting and looking at my stuff and wondering where to start. I was also really nosy on what others were doing, which kept me from working on my pile of "crap" on the table. This time I am determined to get something done! I have prepared a total of 3 two page layout kits and 4 one page layout kits to work on. I am hoping to get some more done before the Swarm so I have plenty to work on.
I made a short little video tutorial on how I put my kits together in case anyone is wondering how I do it.
Great idea Okie. I need to get my butt to a crop sometime soon.

Great idea!!
ReplyDeleteI always wondered about why go as far as making a kit, but now it make sense because you do your detailing at the crop. Great!!
Great idea.. Thanks for sharing!!! LisaMH
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Okie! I've never been to a crop or swarm. At first I thought you might be making LO kits to sell. Lol. Thanks for setting me straight.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the difference between a swarm and a crop?
Great idea!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a WONDERFUL idea!! TFS!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are really ready to go. I usually just flag the magazines I am going to scrap lift from and get my paper together with the pictures. But then, I don't get much done either. Sometimes it's more about visiting and sharing. Thanks for the great video.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea girl!!! I hope to get that organized befor I go!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see ya there!!!
Okie, you are soooo cute!!! I am going to try my hardest to stop in for awhile with you guys. I guess I'd better start making some kits, too!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea... there doesn't seem to be a plethora of SWARMS in Western NY tho.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Your blog post will be advertised on the DigiFree Tutorials search engine today (look for timestamp: 28 Dec [LA 04:00pm, NY 07:00pm] - 29 Dec [UK 12:00am, OZ 11:00am] ).
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. My friends and I go to a big crop twice a year and I never get anything done because I am so disorganized. I love this technique for getting all my items for my layout in one place so I can spend my time actually working on the layout instead of rummaging in my bag. Next crop is in March and I will certainly be prepared.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Great ideas Okie!! I'm the same way... I visit way more than I scrapbook and end up not getting anything done! Of course, I have to bring everything but the kitchen sink with me too... you know... just in case I HAVE to have the purple zebra print brads for something!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOMG Tammy! I have some purple zebra brads! I wonder if I should take them! LOL
ReplyDeleteI am glad to be in good company, I went to my first swarm in Sept. and didn't get many pages done. What I did accomplish was organizing my daughter's pictures (all 17 years worth!) so now I am organized (well, if I say it enough maybe I will be!!!). The idea of having a kit ready for the swarm - genius! I hope you get a lot done!
ReplyDeleteOkie, you are so much smarter than the average bear!!! I love this idea!!!! Brenda aka FootballMom
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!!! You are the bomb diggity!
ReplyDeleteGreat video, and Thanks so much for showing me - how to get started to do a LO to go.
ReplyDeleteOkie,
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. I will have to try to do this for my next crop.
Thank you so much for this help.
What a great idea!! Thanks for sharing. Now I'm going to have to try that for my next swarm!!
