Still hanging in there...

It has been a week ago today since I smoked. I hate it. I want to smoke, especially after eating my evening meal. Uh..okay and when I am on the phone and on the computer, and...in the car. So basically anytime I am at home or on my way home LOL.

I would describe myself as a character if you were to combine the movies Sybil and the Exorcist at this point...uh that would be mood swings with some evil in them. I basically just walk around my house right now and do nothing. I do not want to craft! Which is very odd for me. I even thought the other day "I should just sell all this crap".

Anywho I hope all of you are doing well and hopefully soon I can get back to my somewhat normal self and start making some things again.

  4. WTG! You can do this...you are strong and you will prevail!

Now you should feel like Rocky. No? Maybe? Try humming "Eye of the Tiger" and bouncing around the room with your hands in the air like you don't care...oh, wait, that's a different song...okay, do you feel a little bit better? I hope it got a bit of a smile.

Seriously - you rock and you can do this just one step, minute, hour, day, week, month, year at a time...

  11. Okie:
It takes at least 2 weeks for the nicotine to get out of your system and I'm still waiting for the "physical habit" to go away like after dinner, when the phone rings, when I'm driving, etc. BUT HANG IN THERE!! IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!

I too went thru the not wanting to do anything, even scrapping - but that too will get better!! I promise!!

You are doing GREAT and we are all proud of you and I also know that you probably don't give a crap what we think at this point!! ROFLMAO!!!!

  13. Wow! Good for you for setting such a hard goal and sticking with it! I agree with everyone else - the inspiration will come back and we would all be soooooo sad to lose your creative inspiration. Stick with it for us if not for yourself! (Did that help?)

All joking aside, I love your creativity and sense of humor and I'm sure that these great attributes will help you get through this. I will keep you in my prayers. You are my hero for attempting something so hard.

  19. Okie, I am so proud of you!!! I quit when the price went to $1.50 a pack because I was not going to pay that ridiculous price!!!! Now that tells you how long ago I quit. If I could do it I know you can because no one thought they would ever see the day I would quit. It's been 20 years.

  20. Oh! I can sooo relate to your not smoking. I am going to try again. I quit one time for 11 days and went back to it. Now I'm going to try again. One for health. Just got a bad mammogram (have to go for more testing Wed) and also the price.

    Keep up the good work.
