It's never going to end!!!

So the painting is all done. HURRAY! BUTTTTT........the flooring can't be done until next week. I have had enough of my house being turned upside down! I am going crazy with crap being in the guest room, hallway, living room and dining room. I just want to get the *beep* back in the craftroom and get on with my life!!

I know I will be glad once it is all done but right now........I JUST WANT TO BURN IT ALL!!

Here is a little slide show of the journey so far....

TODAY IS THE DAY!!

The painter is coming today! And I am ecstatic!!! Now that doesn't mean I will be able to put my stuff back tonight, or even this weekend, but at least it is a start! I still have to get my tables and computer out of here. I decided not to tear down the computer until they told me for sure they were coming. I have to have my computer for paperwork so I didn't want to tear it down unnecessarily.

I will take pictures and post them of the process!!

DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD

THE WICKED WITCH IS DEAD! I have no idea why I just busted out into that song *okie shrugs shoulders* I do that randomly though.

Anywho....I am finished at the school until August! WOOT WOOT! Which means I get to sleep in at least 30 minutes longer every morning. I also won't be working as much, which means I won't have as much money *okie thinks to self "like I had any money to begin with"* but I do love my shorter schedules in the summer. If I want to work a full week and then a day I get to take off for four days, or something like that. My scheduling is very odd sometimes, at least to others...I seem to understand it perfectly.

I talked to the landlord briefly yesterday and he is suppose to call his son. Now if he got a hold of his son I do not know since my phone at home went out yesterday and I had to call Southwestern Bell, or ATT, whatever they are calling themselves these days, for them to fix it. Luckily it was fixed rather quickly. I guess I will have to call him again today. But I certainly hope they can start on the painting soon. I am ready for it to be over and done with!

I am NOT back...but I need to be, or maybe not

I think there has been some confusion. I am NOT back. I just posted where I have been. I am not sure when I will be back as I am in the hands of the landlord at this point. Didn't that just sound like a line out of a really bad movie? HA HA HA.......but seriously.....it did! *okie waits to hear the dum duh da dum music....but hears nothing....shrugs shoulders* okay guess it was just me that thought that.

I still haven't finished clearing out the craft room. Not that there is still that much stuff, but rather I am just that lazy. Which is kinda bad since I should have made 2 graduation cards before I packed everything up and now I can't even get to my stuff to make any cards so I will have to get, *okie whispers...you guys get ready to gasp* STORE BOUGHT CARDS!! *okie hears the huge enormous gasp* Told ya to get ready to gasp!

I don't mind giving SB cards at all, because think about it for a moment...it is for graduation. What do graduates do? They open the card smile, skim the message quickly and then look for a check or cash that should have fell out when they opened the card. So do ya think 2 years from now those kids will say "Shirley sure spent a lot of time on that card she made me for graduation". NOOO!!! They will say "that cheapskate Shirley only gave me 20 bucks for graduation!". So you see it doesn't matter what the card looks like anyway! *okie cracks up laughin and noddin with a look of 'ya'll know good and well I just spoke the truth!'*

HHEELLLOOOOO!!! ANYONE OUT THERE????

I apologize for not posting sooner. There is a lot going on around here right now and I promise I haven't made anything new and not posted it.....I just haven't made anything at all. Well to be perfectly honest I have made a huge mess in my craft room, but more about that in a minute. If ya have a few minutes get comfortable and read what has been going on.

First off.....every thing is okay, ju
st very busy.

Where should I start....

APRIL 23RD-26TH
Ummm.......
house being repainted, process going on. The landlord's wife came to pick up the rent last month and she caught me during one of my quitting smoking mood swings *okie wonders if the poor lady will ever be the same* and she made the mistake of asking "so how is the house". I went off in a tirade about everything they were suppose to have been replacing or repairing in the last few years and never have and how "I will let the house fall down around my ears BECAUSE I ONLY RENT". Anywho *okie says in a sweet voice and a smile*.......they have painted the living room, bedrooms hallway, dining area and kitchen so far. I also got a new stove top *okie had been needing that for about 3 years* which I am thrilled about, maybe now I won't be simmering something and then it decide to go to a roiling boil!! And have other things they are going to fix around here very soon. I guess if I had stopped smoking sooner I wouldn't have had to wait so long to get things done around here! LOL

APRIL 28TH-29TH
My niece, her husband, her mom *which is okie's cousin, but niece is actually okie's second cousin but has always refered to okie as aunt.....now that should confuse everyone*, and her little sister came to stay right after the painting because she had to go to a hospital here in town to have her baby. We have a boy. He is a III so they are calling him Trip. Of course it is funny to me because their last name is LeForce so when Trip is about 3 and people ask him his name I can just hear him saying, in that little speech impediment way that 3 year olds have, "Triple Force". When I informed my niece of this she was like "OMG! I never thought about that". Her husband in true male fashion smiled nodded his head as if in pride and said "Man that is cool!". As you can see he is a cutie indeed!

MAY 3RD-6TH
I had the 16th Annual Childrens Behavioral Health Conference in Norman Oklahoma to go to for work. I was able to attend some interesting workshops.......and do a little shopping! And I mean little. I got a set of See D's sentiment stamps at Hobby Lobby. They were marked down from 11.99 to 7.19 and then for some odd reason they took 50% off *okie ain't one to look a bargain gift in the mouth* so I was really excited about that. I really liked all the sentiments the set had, it seemed to cover pretty much occasion. I sure hate that Inque Boutique, the makes of See D's sold out...can we have a moment of silence? *okie bows head in respect*

I also got myself a pair of speedo flip flops at Khols. And of course I spent more money on my daughter than I did myself.....darn kids sure get in the way of things don't they! LOL She was thrilled when I came in with a few new summer clothes for her.

May 10th HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
About 10pm I was sitting at my computer and was finishing up a
load of laundry. I hear a BBZZZTTTT from the dryer, and my dryer does not have a buzzer, and then orange flashes from inside the dryer. I was able to act quickly and avoid a fire. *OKIE IS DEFINATELY BLESSED BY GOD*. The dryer and washer now repaired, yes I said washer too! LOL The washer didn't catch on fire, I just figured why not have the repair man fix it too while he was here....if your cam dogs go out, well the darn washer won't agitate like it should.

As you can see by the picture it was the wiring that went bad, likely due to vibrations over the years. It is as good as new now.

May 12th

Landlord came by to pick up rent *yeah it is due on the 1st, I left a check when I had gone to the conference, and the check still hasn't been cashed.......landlord doesn't get in a hurry about anything much I guess* and said his son is ready to come back and finish painting. The craftroom will be getting painted and get a new floor. The bathroom on this side of the house will get a new toilet and sink and also painted. They are going to paint the laundry hallway and laundry area also.

So I don't have a picture of me giving my landlord the check, and not really sure why I would take a picture of that I figured I would at least put this picture of my flooded backyard that was taken that same day. I love the rain because we need it but I am ready for some sunshine for awhile. I don't even know if I will be able to get a garden in this year due to all the rain!!

May.......aw heck this weekend...

I have been trying to get my craft room stuff packed away so it will be ready for paint and flooring. It is a bit of a larger task than I thought. I do have most of my scrap supplies moved already. I have to tear down the computer desk and not even sure where to put it while this part of the house gets redone. I am trying to go through and throw some things away that I don't use anymore or I know I won't use, which is very hard for me. But I will be so glad to get rid of this nasty carpet! *okie totally hates carpet and thinks all carpet should be burned at the stake*

The
y are going to be redoing the hallway to the kitchen, the laundry area and the bathroom on this side of the house also.

I just hope the
y have it done before the first weekend in June, I have company coming after that!!

SSOOO........how have ya'll been? *okie cracks up laughin*

Chipboard album and gift bag

Today is Administrative Assistants day and while I did make the card for everyone in the office to sign for our office manager, Jen, I wanted to make her a little something just from me. Jen has a Maltese named Oscar and she is as crazy about little Oscar as I am about my little Lucy. I knew what I wanted to make her and have known for sometime but of course waited to the last minute *okie is such a procrastinator* partly because...well okay...totally because I have just been out of the mood to do any paper crafting. Good thing was that since I had been thinking about this I was able to sit down and get my cuts ready in Design Studio, save the file, and then do the cuts the next evening *okie thinks that DS can be such a life saver sometimes*.

The patterned paper I believe is from Making Memories.

For the gift bag I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I cut the bag as big as I could for a 12x12 piece of paper. I had to "trick" my cricut into thinking it was cutting on a 12x24 mat so I could get to the very edges.

I used 1/4" grosgrain ribbon for the handles on the bag. I did add two dog bone brads to the front of the bag for some little extra embellishment.

The "I love my Dog" on the front is a 3-D sticker that I had in my stash and the colors worked wonderful for the paper.

I inked the edges with Chestnut Roan Cateye Chalk ink. I did use my ATG gun to put the bag together. And yes...the album does fit in the bag.......barely.........BUT IT DOES!!

For the album I used my Bind It All to hold the album together using 1" wires. For the cuts I used Paper Pups, Mini Monograms, Jasmine, George and Basic Shapes and Cuttin Up. This is the front and back of the album. I used Paper Pups for the puppy and Cuttin Up for the name Oscar. I also used a brad that has a fire hydrant on it with a piece of ribbon to kinda jazz up the front. I did also due a double stitch hand doodle around the front. On the back I just stamped it with my okieladybug stamp.

Here are page 1 and 2. I used Mini Monograms for the picture mats. I did make little removable white mats so she can trim her pictures to size more easily. The paw prints on the red paper are done with a paw stamp and a Versamark Watermark ink pad. It is the first time I have really gotten to use it...and I do believe I am gonna love the watermark pad!

Here is page 3 and 4. I used my Purple Cows cutter to cut the mat and chose the deckle blade *which is okie's favorite*. I used Jasmine for the photo corners. I added two little dog bone paper clips just for some extra embellishment since these two pages were a little plain. I wanted her to have a couple of pages that could hold good size photos.

And again the white mats are for picture reference.

Here is page 5 and 6. All the cuts on this one are from Paper Pups. I tried to make it into a scene of sorts. The tree and the birds are adhered directly onto the page but the puppy and dog house are pop dotted to give it a more dimensional look.

So maybe now I am getting back into the swing of things! *okie keeps her fingers crossed*

Knock Knock

Okay this is not a knock knock joke, just checkin to see if anyone is still around!! *okie figures everyone has probably abandoned her by now and wouldn't blame folks if they did*. I actually made two cards tonight, even turned on the Cricut! First time in a month!! I only made one of each of these as I was using Basic Grey 6x6 paper. I used the sketches from this weeks card challenge.

I am having a bit of a headache so not posting all the info on these but at least gonna post pics of the cards.

I was asked to show how I unmounted my stamps

So I took some pictures of how I did it. I posted this on the Cricut MB but some folks couldn't see the pictures and I was asked to post it on my blog as well.

Peel the label off the block. Different brands do differently. I had problems with Hero Art stamps but SU and Studio G's did fine. This particular stamp is a Studio G.

Peel the stamp off the block. You can pop it in the microwave for a few seconds but I was too lazy to stand in the kitchen and use the microwave so I just peeled them off.

Peel the foam off the stamp. Again different brands react different. The SU stamps were usually pretty easy to get off the foam. I did notice if there was residue on the SU stamps it was easily rubbed off with my finger.

Line up your label on the back of the stamp. I quickly learned that the labels are not always the exact size of the stamp. Since I use a Stamp Ma Jig for stamping most of the time I also figured it was not necessary to get it EXACTLY straight, however I do try to line up as best as I can.

Trim the label next to the stamp. Cutterbee scissors get closer to the edge than regular scissors.

And there you have it! Your stamp now has the label so it can be easily identified!! If the sticky is not on the label well I am thinking you can likely run it through your Xyron easily enough and get the label to stick better.

Stay tuned for when I get the Aleene's Tack It Over and Over to apply to the back of my stamps for storage and using with the acrylic blocks.

Getting closer to crafting!!

As I am typing this I am still under the influence or barbiturates so please forgive any mess ups *okie hopes she pays attention to the red underline of spell check at least*. I did get something done tonight craft related!!

I worked on unmounting some of my wood block stamps. A small feat but I am glad I did do something craft related. I was working rather slow and I think my daughter got 4 unmounted to my 1 *okie is not sure if it is due to the muscle relaxers or if her daughter is just a show off*.

Now my dilema is this....I am unmounting my stamps but I do NOT want the foam on my stamps. I prefer to put the foam under the paper I am stamping on and I know by getting rid of foam I can save even more space. Now now now before you die hard stamps say "OH DEAR LAWD OKIE YOU CAN'T DO THAT" well let me tell you.....yes I can...and yes I did *okie giggles to herself, probably not because she thought that was funny but that muscle relaxers make okie giggle*.

Uhh....what was I talking about *okie goes back to read what she typed*. OH YES! I am looking for something like the See-D's Cling. Since Inque Boutique went out of business I am not sure if this can be found *okie observes a moment of silence in the memory of Inque Boutique*.

So here is where you guys come in. If you guys can find any place that sells stuff like this please please plese let me know where I can purchase it!!

Oh and my newly unmounted stamps will be going in my Tim Holtz Unmounted Stamp Binders. I still TOTALLY love this method for stamp storage!!

Checking in

I still have my headache. Not as frequently and not as piercing right now, but still there. It does go away sometimes but right now it has decided to come back and visit. Talk about unwanted company!! *okie does not remember making an invitation for a headache...hhmmm...maybe she should go through that box of cards she made just to make sure*.

I did go to the doctor yesterday and she said it is likely nothing serious since I am not having any temperature, dizziness or other symptoms... likely just tension headaches but she was concerned about me having them everyday like I am. She prescribed Fioricet. It doesn't make the pain go away but it does knock my *beep* out! Uhh...maybe it does make the pain go away but I am knocked out before I realize the pain is gone *okie shrugs and makes a who in the heck knows face*

I took the medicine last night and it did eventually knock me out but not before I was slurring and kinda drooling a bit when I went to go check on Naomi. I got home and called my friend Carmen, aka Carmen 1, aka Scrappinbee, aka BEE, aka Agnes. She told me I sounded drunk and that I needed to go to bed. So I did go around 9 and was out by 9:30...missed the end of Castle but luckily Carmen was able to fill me in today while I was driving to and from client's houses.

I got done with work early today and came home and took my medicine and out I went again. I am getting ready to go to bed now since I took the medicine a bit ago. I will probably try and get done early with work again tomorrow so I can do a repeat. I think I might have been luckier tonight had I not groomed Lucy and had my neck in odd positions. I gotta feel better tomorrow night since LOST is on.

Okay signing off..sitting here at the computer makes my head hurt worse...goodnight!!

When will I ever

craft again?? This is getting a bit ridiculous! I have been having headaches for the last week. Never felt headaches like these, they are not as painful as my migraines, which is a good thing but they also don't respond to any medications I have tried.

I finally broke down and went to the clinic today and after waiting in the waiting room for over 4 hours *okie tries not to complain too much since she has no copay and doesn't have to pay for her prescriptions* I finally got to see a PA. After some simple tests and questions the PA decided it is tension, and it could be a result of my quitting smoking. I quickly asked her "OH!! so I should go back to smoking then!". Of course she quickly nixed that *okie thought she was really gonna like that PA there for a minute*. She gave me a new prescription to try. I took two pills as prescribed about an hour and a half ago...my head still hurts...maybe even a little worse *okie sighs* but the good thing is I think these dang pills are gonna knock me out since I feel like I could fall over right now.

The sad thing right now is that I have totally lost any desire to craft.

HOLY FREAKING *beep*

I can't believe it. I am just too excited. I think I am so excited I might be over being angry and moody now!!

So I was sitting here in my office at the school and one of the kids comes in talkin about her problems. I was trying to ignore her *okie cracks up laughin*, okay so I wasn't ignoring her but I just like to me mean and will read this to her *okie read this to the kid and she started laughing and said "it's nice of you to put me in your blog"*. Uhh...where was I? Oh yes, being excited!! Yeah so she comes in talkin and I am sitting here listening and all the sudden I look at her and say "Did you have a cigarette this morning?"

She said "yes"

I said "OMG! I CAN SMELL IT"

Of course she went to sniffin herself and said she couldn't smell it. Then she said "OMG! YOU ARE GETTING YOUR SENSE OF SMELL BACK!"

I was just so excited that I could smell it on her! I mean it was very faint but it was there!

Oh and I think I am about over wanting a cigarette now. I haven't even used my little plastic fake peppermint one in several days. I am still fighting a headache that I have been having for the last 3 days but shoot I am still excited! *okie thinks she is such a nerd*

****let me add****

Uhh..not sure why folks think I have lost my sense to smell before I quit smoking. I could smell quite well thank you very much, maybe even better than some people I know. I was just saying that my sense of smell has improved. And I shall note that my sense of taste is still the same........FOOD STILL TASTES AWESOME! But then again it did when I was smoking too!

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

You are not going to believe this!!

After arguing with my daughter last night *okie skips the details* I gave in. I decided to go to the store and get a pack of cigarettes. I just couldn't handle it any longer.

I get in the car and it is sprinkling. No big deal. Then the wind starts to blow. I get about 2 blocks from my house and it looks like hurricane winds. By the time I get to the place where I buy cigarettes it is raining sideways, there is lightening all across the sky, the wind is literally rocking my car. I get lucky and am able to park under the covered drive thru, which closes at like 7 pm and this is at like 10 pm. I see cars pulling off the road. I guess it was raining too hard for them to see. It starts to hail, not big, but still hail.

I am thinking "I am not getting out of the car in this *beep*", so I sit there looking at the other cars, watching the rain fall sideways and then I start laughing and looking out the window up toward the sky and start talking *okie knows if anyone was watching her at this point they likely would have called the men in the white coats* to God. I am telling God "FINE! JUST FINE! Seriously God if you didn't want me to have the cigarettes You could have just said so".

So it might be considered a little self centered to think the storm happened just so I wouldn't buy a pack of cigarettes. But ya know what....at this point what ever it takes to keep me from smokin is fine by me. Well okay maybe not WHATEVER it takes....but ya know what I mean.

Monday, March 30, 2009

I am still a bear

I actually had a pretty good day today.....until about 15 minutes ago.

I was on the phone with my Aunt Betty when my daughter came in the door. She moved quickly through the house and went to her room. I knew something was up. So I called her in after I got off the phone. OH MY GAWD!! HER HAIR IS FREAKING JACKED UP LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE!! She let her boyfriends mom and friend try and die her hair blonde. UUHH.....NOT WORKING! My daughter is a mixture of Native American, African American, Caucasian with some Mexican thrown in. So what do you think happened.....YEP SHE HAS FREAKING ORANGE HAIR!! But get this it isn't orange all over, NNOOO it is just orange at the roots!! I swear I think the mother of the boy hates my daughter and just wanted to jack my daughter's hair up.

I better go to bed now before I kill something.........

Dam I want a cigarette.......to be honest.....right now I want a whole chittin pack!!!

Sunday, March 29, 2009

It only took 2 days!

But I did get a card made. Actually I can say it took more than 2 days since I started this card last week with the base and the scraps. I decided yesterday to use the Studio G cupcake stamps on the card. I usually make more than one of a card. Not this time *okie thinks her mojo has gone out the window*.

Oh great a commerical for NicoDerm CQ just came on. I never noticed how many "stop smoking" commercials were on tv until now! I think it is like being pregnant....ya know you notice that EVERYONE is pregnant when you are, but only because you are paying more attention.

Oh back to the card. So yeah I only have one of these so ya know I will never use this one. Besides I think it is ugly *okie laughs at herself*. I used Jasmine for the photo corners, and they were actually some left over from another project. The ribbon and pink papers are Stampin Up that were left from the workshop I went to last weekend. The printed paper is just some scrap I had. I did stamp the happy birthday with a versamark ink on the light pink but don't think you can see it in the picture.

And just in case you are wondering.........YES I WANT A *google censors okie's next few words* CIGARETTE TO CELEBRATE GETTING THE CARD DONE!!

Saturday, March 28, 2009

It's official...

quitting smoking can cause insanity. If you don't believe me just ask anyone that I have had contact with this last week and a half. I am able to hold myself together for work but after that.....well......not so much *okie sighs as a tear runs down her cheek*. I still have my ringer turned off on my phone since I never know what kinda things will spew from my mouth when I answer the phone. It is better this way...trust me.

My cousin Lisa somehow thinks I need to be posting to my blog about what I am thinking and such. I think she just wants to read about my misery, as if hearing me talk about it on the phone isn't enough.....NNOO NOT FOR HER!! SHE WANTS EVERYONE TO HEAR MY MISERY! *okie hopes her dear cousin Lisa chokes on the cigarette she is smoking*. Evidently she shared my quitting smoking with her brother Greg, who says I need to get the patch. I think from what she told him he is afraid I might be homicidal *okie wonders how cousin Greg knows okie so well when they rarely get to see each other*.

My friend Scrappinbee, aka Carmen 1, aka Thang 1 and newest aka Agnes is able to tolerate me. She laughs at me a lot and ignores a lot of what I am saying *okie now wonders if not smoking is making her more lucid and that Carmen has always ignored her or if it is just recently*. I must give Bee her props as she is willing to talk to me every day, which is more than I can say for most people in my life at this point. She puts up with my little exorcist episodes where terrible things find their way out of my vocal cords. I think even the tone might be a little, er....uhh...possessed sounding *okie shrugs* maybe Bee keeps a cross and holy water handy.

My friend ScrapperDelighted, aka Carmen 2, Thang 2, tries to distract me with virtual shopping. She isn't quite as brave as Bee. She waits for me to call her. She is supportive and does answer her phone, she doesn't try to rush off the phone either! *okie thinks Delighted is rather brave this way* She does try to give me encouragement about my decision.

My daughter is surviving through all this. She tries to stay away from me most of the time. I know I have hurt her feelings a few times. She will leave the house and text me "what is wrong with you". WHAT THE %$@K*&% &#** DOES SHE THINK IS WRONG WITH ME! Actually she knows.....she is truly being patient with me I think. I know she is proud of my decision as she has wanted me to quit smoking for years and years. When she is home she stays in her room most of the time or sleeps. I have to admit she is a pretty smart kid.

*okie sighs deeply* I want to make something. I look over at all my stuff and keep thinking I WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING! But it doesn't happen. I get over to my table, look at my stuff and then just walk away. Maybe I will try tonight....maybe just maybe I can make something...*okie walks over to her craft table wondering how well glitter cardstock will roll and smoke*

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Still hanging in there...

It has been a week ago today since I smoked. I hate it. I want to smoke, especially after eating my evening meal. Uh..okay and when I am on the phone and on the computer, and...in the car. So basically anytime I am at home or on my way home LOL.

I would describe myself as a character if you were to combine the movies Sybil and the Exorcist at this point...uh that would be mood swings with some evil in them. I basically just walk around my house right now and do nothing. I do not want to craft! Which is very odd for me. I even thought the other day "I should just sell all this crap".

Anywho I hope all of you are doing well and hopefully soon I can get back to my somewhat normal self and start making some things again.

Monday, March 23, 2009

Just a quick note...

I haven't posted anything in almost a week. There is a reason. A very good reason. At least I think so. I decided to stop smoking. Not for health reasons....the way I figure it we are all gonna die anyway and I enjoy smoking. The reason I decided to quit is that I am too cheap! I went to buy a pack of cigarettes last Wednesday and the price had jumped from $3.28 to $4.55. I left the store without buying a pack and haven't bought any since then.

SOOOO...right now I am still going through some withdrawals. One of the times I loved to smoke was when I was at the computer so I am trying to avoid the computer most of the time right now.

I hope to be back creating and posting soon.

Happy Birthday using Tinkerbell

I finally finished one of the cards. I had a terrible time trying to decide on colors to use but that might have been because LOST was on and I can't seem to do things well when that show is on the tv!

Pink is the favorite color of the little girl whom the card is for so I tried to use it the most but didn't want it to be all pink. I found a sheet of paper I liked that had pink but some other colors that I could tie in.

I used Jasmine for the photo corners and Celebrations for the present. On the present I ran the "bow" through the xyron upside down and then added doodlebug glitter. I think it turned out nice. The scallop circle is a punch as are the circles. The sentiment is computer generated.

I used mounting foam to pop Tink, the present and the photo corners off the card. I think the little girl will like it. If not....well then she can just give it back!! HA HA HA

Cuttlebug A2 folder storage

I knew I would do it. I should have done it in the first place. Why I didn't I shall never know *okie thinks her mind is a mystery to her sometimes and causes her too much work*. But this morning I did it. I made a .cut file for the Cuttlebug A2 folders.

I made the CUTTLEBUG A2 PLANTIN version and the CUTTLEBUG A2 GEORGE version. Yes you heard right. I did one for the Expressions and one for the baby bug. I couldn't forget those that don't have the E *it wasn't that long ago that okie only had the baby bug*

I haven't gotten around to do the ones for the combo sets, borders or 2x2 squares. But I likely will eventually.

The assembly should be the same for both versions.

I inked this version just to decorate it more. I hand wrote the name of the folder on the tab. And YES....I will likely be redoing all the folders I made yesterday *okie needs serious help...mentally that is*. I want to make them colored coded. Ya know like orange for Fall, green for Christmas, red for Valentines, etc.

Here is the cut. The PS version will cut two to a 12x12 sheet of cardstock and the George will cut one on the baby bug. In the pictures I only did the first tab version but there are mats to make graduated tabs. The mats are all labeled. I also made a divider if you want to divide by theme and such.

There is a first tab, middle tab and last tab. So 3 tabs in all. I can't really but them in alphabetical order this way....but come on folks I am not that anal!! NO COMMENTS FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY!! *okie gets a stick to bonk anyone on the head that wants to comment on that*

This is where you score. The score lines will cut for you so no measuring if you don't want to measure. And if you do...well I don't remember the measurements. If they dont seem to line up right just score 1/8" of an inch away from the first score line. I have them lined up correctly on the .cut file but as you know sometimes these machines have their own ideas about things!

I did score one and then pretty much lined up with the second set of score lines, and it was 1/8" of an inch *okay okie is that anal, she will admit*.

I used a ruler and an embossing stylus to do my embossing, but use what you wish. This was just the method I used because it gives me a smaller score line than my Crafters Companion does.

Here is a side view of how the cuttlebug embossing folder will look in it's new home *okie thinks her little cuttlebug folder even smiled in it's new home*.

Due to this version being specific for the width of the A2 folders. Like I said I will try to get ones done for the borders, combo dies and the 2x2 folders. Maybe I will work on those files today and maybe I won't.

I still gotta get that dang Tinkberbell card done before the child turns 5! HA HA HA *okie so cracks herself up*

To emboss the front you will need to put the NONE tabbed side of the folder in the cuttlebug folder.

You will also have to emboss it sideways. But of course if you want to turn it the other way you can. It is totally up to you.

Don't worry you won't break your cuttlebug, I have embossed this way quite a few times and it works just fine. But if you are afraid then just do it the othe way.

This is how it looks after embossed *okie makes oohh and ahh sounds to herself*. Now once you have done this you can make labels for the tabs if you wish, in the edges and or the embossed image, the sky is the limit on how you want to decorate them.

I think this gives you a quick reference to what the folder looks like embossed and I truly do like this method. Just wish I would have done this yesterday and saved me all the measuring, cutting, corner rounding etc. *okie sighs* but ya know sometimes it is better to reinvent the wheel!
