Stampin Up Flower Shop - Pansies

First off let us not be too critical of this card or my coloring job. I haven't made a card in months and it has been even longer since I used my Promarkers. This is the first card I made using the Stampin Up Flower Shop Bundle and to be honest I thought about throwing these away at first *okie would still throw them away but since they are in her card box she will have to keep them*.

I used an assortment of papers as I was just playing around and wasn't sure where I was even going with this card so I have no idea the names of the papers. I did add a "thinking of you" sentiment on the front in the beige area to the right after I took the picture and it made it somehow made it look nicer.

It's hard to tell in the picture but I did some paper piercing along the bottom of the blue, you can see it more in person than in the photo, and it added a nice touch.

So back to my coloring...OH EM GEE! I totally suck at it now. Using a skill infrequently is not a good thing. I cut some of the flowers apart and added them behind the main flower to help fill in. I used my Boho Blossom punch to make the other little flowers and the small circles are actually from the Owl Punch and are suppose to be the larger circles in his eye area. The leaves are from the Bird Punch. Yeah, I pretty much had my table covered in punches during the process.

I have already told ya'll I wasn't pleased with this card but I do owe it a debt of gratitude since it made me think "OMG something better can be made" and it made me challenge myself into making something better and boy oh boy did they get better! For once I actually like all the cards I made after this one and so the next 5 days will be the other cards I made with the Flower Shop Bundle.

  2. Your card came out great, pretty brads in the center. When you use brads do you have a trick that makes them flatter and less bulky?

  3. Do you stamp and color first, then punch them out? I think it's really cute. Glad you are keeping them .. lol.
