Get It Straight Laser Square

I am one of those people with terrible hand writing unless I am writing painfully slow so when I am doing journaling I want to make sure I keep my wording straight so I don't have to do it again. I do have a nice little laser ruler that someone sent me sometime ago which does help but I can't seem to find the batteries for it *okie wonders how many sizes of little round batteries there are in the world*.

I was checking out my Blitsy emails this week and the Kellycraft Get It Straight Laser Square came up in one of the emails. It looks pretty cool but seems a bit pricey. Luckily I had some credits at Blitsy and was able justify the purchase and plus if I can find something cool to try out and let you guys know if I like or don't like the product then I feel it's an added benefit of my little crafty shopping problem I have...yes, I use you guys as an excuse to buy chit! DON'T JUDGE!

They also carry some really cool looking skins you can add to the square. I think you lay them over or replace the black material that you see around the edge in the picture. I am not sure I will get any skins since they are $20 for a pack of 3. I am thinking if I want to decorate mine I can always use some paper and Modge Podge! *okie thinks she is really cheap sometimes and messes up some good stuff by trying to save a few cents*.

I did get my order confirmation and should get my shipping notice on Monday, Blitsy is usually very good at shipping your order very quickly, so be on the look out for my review of this product in the next week and a half or so. And as always....I tell you guys how I honestly feel about products!

  2. Oh my gosh! I think I need me one of those..... I do the blackboards at work and always end up with the writing higher on the right than the left. Hope you get it soon because I can't wait for a review of it. Jude.x

  3. Please do let us know how this works out. I saw this and thought that it would be a great tool, but also thought that since the top and right look raised a little that they would get in the way of my hand trying to write? I also didn't know what else you would use it for as using a paper cutter, I've never really had a problem cuttimg Non-straight squares?

    1. It is for getting your layouts straight - not for cutting. It is quite awesome actually... You can use it for lining up die cut or sticker letters, or for lining up a row of photos. Things like that.

  4. Hmm I am eager to see how you like it. I also have to do bulletin boards at work and I obsess over the titles being perfectly straight! Not sure it would help my journaling... I would just have straight sloppy handwriting instead of slanted sloppy handwriting. I mostly type my journaling because I am so sloppy.

  5. You are Brilliant! I've been having sloping handwriting issues that make me not journal on scrapbook pages... I hope you report that this works! It'll go on my wish list ASAP if it does.

  6. I'm anxious to read your review. I have seen advertisements on this quite a bit recently, but I think I have finally reached a point not to jump out and grab everything "new."

  8. Hi Okie, check out ohmycrafts dot com. They are selling these, too. They had some skins in stock a couple of weeks ago. If you sign up for their newsletter, there are coupon codes at the bottom of the email that you can use on everything. Or... because you are so crafty (and talented), you can make your own (like you said in your post)!!! :-)
