Dang Crafting Curfew!! Oh, and big announcement!

I have a crafting curfew of 10pm on school nights. The reason is simple...I have to stop or I won't stop *okie wonders if she should elaborate and figures it might help*. Okay so here is the dealio, I get obsessed with a project when I get started and I want to finish. But the problem lies in that sometimes life gets in the way and I don't get to finish when I plan on it. If I worked past 10pm then I would work until the project was done, which might be 2am in some cases. So ya see a crafting curfew is totally necessary!!

Oh and the saying of "school nights", well that comes from that on most days I work at an Alternative School in the mornings so I still have school days. Now on weekends I stay up as late as I want to *okie states this with a smug smile as if she is 11 years old and there isn't a grown up alive that can tell her to go to bed* and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Although, sometimes Lucy does look at me like it is bed time.

Good news is that I have 3 more cards that will be posting this week from the Create A Critter cartridge. The animals featured are bees, a horse and an owl. My daughter actually looked at the owl and said "yeah I need one of those when you get done". Yeah right! Like she is gonna bust up a set of cards...NOT HAPPENING!! *okie wonders why her daughter thinks she can just come in and try to take things from the house when daughter doesn't live in the house anymore*. Ummm, anyone know a good locksmith?

As for a big announcement, I will be making a post this week for a really nice giveaway. But first I want to tell you that the giveaway is for something that has been gently used. So if you have a problem with something gently used then get the heel off my blog and don't enter! *okie busts out laughin thinking she sounded all nerdy gangsta there*. Anyway the giveaway will be for something I think a lot of you will want to enter even if it is used. THIS IS NOT THE GIVEAWAY POST SO DON'T COMMENT ABOUT IT NOW. I mean if you got something to say you are welcome to comment but don't think it will get you entered into the giveaway! *okie so loves being cryptic at times but knows there are some folks that know what okie is talkin about*

So I feel really weird not posting a picture of something so here is a picture of something. This is my lil George. He came to me while I was on the cruise. He now hangs out watching my punches and ready to karate chop anyone who tries to steal a punch!!

  2. I know what you mean about needing a curfew. My problem is I often break curfew and need to be grounded! And why at 10 o'clock at night does it take 2 to 3 hours to finish something that you are sure can do in 15 minutes when it is 10?

  4. What? You mean I can't enter the drawing yet? Well, PHOOEY!!!!

Looks like I'm going to have to sneak in and snag myself one of those "nifty" punches instead. WHOA, Ole George is watching me. Is that an evil eye looking at me? And with a karate chop at the ready too? YIKES, looks like I can't do that either?!?!

Well HECK ... I guess I have no choice, I'll just have to wander off to my corner and pout, I mean wait ... for the drawings to begin! *wink*

  12. A curfew? Are you kidding me? By the time I get the idea, pick the paper, technique, and embellishments, its already curfew time, I'd never get anything done, lol.

  13. I think it is an awesome trait you have that you need to complete a project once started! I can see how it would be a problem... but I am terrible at finishing!!! :)

  17. Okie, I so don't have a problem with gently used scrap items. In fact, I don't even have a problem with used a lot items if they still work. lol When you are on disability and can't buy things you want, you learn to be very thankful for anything!!!

  19. You are so funny. Do you leave a mess if it gets to 10:00? I just had to ask. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a fairy godmother that came a 10:00 and cleaned up for us. LOL

  20. My husband enforces a crafting curfew on me and I HATE it. As he says, "There's a swarm going on in here." (that's his little way to get me out of the craftroom and into the bedroom- cute, huh? NO!)

  21. I attempt to have a curfew too! I don't always following exactly but if I don't have one I'd stay up until 4 or 5 am trying to finish stuff & that doesn't work with a 4 year old!

  25. But what does one do when they wake up at 2 am and keep thinking about that project. I also know about the daughter that doesn't live here anymore. She is at my house more now that she ever was before marriage and kids. ( The husband and kids come too). About the slightly used; I just spent almost $100 dollars at a local Christian schools consignment sale. Does that sound like slightly used bothers me. jls@eplus.net
