HEEAATTTT!!

It is 105 degrees here today *okie wipe one hand across her brow* and with the heat index it makes it feel like a warmish 120 degrees. My daughter and I were going to go to Walmart and shop for a microwave but we are opting to go late tonight when it is cooler and less crowded. We did go to a restaurant here in town called Prairie Kitchen for supper. It is even too hot to stand out by the grill so there was no way I was cooking anything today!

Since it is so hot I think I will go lay on the couch and take my Gypsy with me and see if I can't get a better handle on how to use it. Maybe a second nap for the day is even in order!!

Hope everyone is keeping cool!

  4. Oh...I feel it here too. It has been so hot I am sweating really bad and to add to the misery I take this RX and one of the side effects is feeling hot and then with this heat...Grrr. If I was sweating fat I will right now really skinny, hahaha.

  6. Okie - we are having similar heat in NC - not quite that bad but high 90s into the low 100s heat indexes. Although, we had thunderstorms all over the area yesterday and it seems to have cooled things down a little. I'm recovering from pneumonia so I'm definitely staying out of the heat and humidity!

Keep us posted on the Gypsy training!

  7. It was 91 in Madison WI yesterday. I am at our cabin up North and it was a lovely 81 with a nice wind. Today it is rainy and 76 and I don't have anything to make cards with here!
I hope it is cooler today for you and that you got to know you Gypsy.

  9. Okie, it's just as hot up here in Alva. Our couch is right under an air conditioning vent which makes a nap a great idea on a hot Oklahoma day!! Stay cool!!
