Graphic 45 Time To Celebrate - Congratulations Wedding

By the time I got around to doing this card I was running out of ideas on how to embellish the cards so it's pretty simple.

Supplies Used:
Mounting Foam Squares
Westcott Titanium Non Stick Scissors

The "congratulations" banner was added over the main image and I made the banner "wave" by slightly bending in places and to make it stay that way I glued the the lower areas to the image.

The left edge of the main image was cut from another paper and was necessary to make the image fit on the die cut frame.

I know ya are probably tired of hearing about the Nuvo Drops but I just want to show you how awesome they are! The tiny flowers on the brides veil have teeny tiny dots of Nuvo drops on the flowers. I know it's hard to see in the picture but in person they show up nicely and really made the veil pop! Oh the groom's boutonniere has the same thing done to it.

You only have to put up with one more card from this series, which posts tomorrow, and then we shall move on to something else!

Graphic 45 Time To Celebrate - New Baby

This baby card was the hardest for me to do and it is probably the most simple looking of all the cards I did out of this collection. I was trying to come up with something different and every time I did I either cut off part of the baby's head or the mother's head and that just wouldn't do so I ended up with this.

Supplies Used:
Various Cardstock
1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
Mounting Foam Squares

I ended up framing the image of the baby and mother and pop dotting the frame. I honestly couldn't figure out what else to do with the image and then that took up most of the card so it's pretty dang simple.

On the tiny flowers I used the Ivory Seashell Nuvo drops on the centers and then also on the centers. Since the centers were a darker pink it gave the little flowers a whole different look than the original image. I dotted Bubblegum Nuvo Drops randomly. I think y'all can tell by now that I Crystal Nuvo Drops are one of my new addictions!

The butterfly was on the original "frame" and I and I think it adds a nice little touch up in the corner. You can tell better in this picture how the frame is pop dotted off the main image.

Congratulations Key Card - Art Philosophy

So I told you guys I really love this Close To My Heart - Art Philosophy bundle that Melanie Brown sent me to review, but did I tell you why? Hmm, let me think of the reasons...
  • Cricut Cartridge
  • Matching Stamps
  • Matching Chipboard
  • Wide Variety of images
  • Fantastic font
I could go on but let me just show you over the next few days!!

Here is the first card I made with the Art Philosophy bundle. A man I know is leaving his current position and starting a new job soon and when I saw this stamp in the set I knew I had to use it to make a card for him.

Supplies Used:
Cricut Expressions
Cricut cartridge - CTMH Art Philosophy
CTMH - Art Philosophy coordinating stamp set
Basic Grey - Boxer line
Metallic Cardstock
Embroidery thread
Brad
Memento Ink - stamping image
Cat Eye Chalk ink
Microsoft Word - inside sentiment

Huh I just noticed I made a typo on the inside sentiment...It should say "MAY YOU HOLD THE KEY TO YOUR HAPPINESS". Good thing it will be easy enough to change! *okie shakes her head at her own stupidity*.

The key base was cut from black cardstock and the top layer is metallic cardstock. I made the little tassel out of some embroidery thread and I think it added a nice little touch to the key and gave the card more interest. It seems a lot of people have problems making cards for me, and I am one of those people *okie tries to think of how often she has made a card for a man and figures she can count on one hand and wonders if maybe she should get out a little more*. Since Basic Grey Boxer line is a masculine theme I thought it worked well for this card. Of course it would be easy to turn this into a feminine card with a different paper line.

The stamp I chose is great for making a few of these cards up and keping in your stash since it does have a variety of choices that you can check. I used a square brad but other things could be used to fill in the little box area. The curly label is included in the Art Philospohy cart so it makes it easy to cut and stamp.

Now I bet you might be wondering how I knew what size to cut the image..well let me show you!!

If you will click on the picture and make it larger, look in the areas that are circled in red. Those tell you exactly what size you need to make your cuts for the coordinating stamps!! INGENIOUS I TELL YOU!!
