Christmas Shopping....

should not be so difficult!

I have a friend that I would like to get a Christmas gift for but what the heck to get him I just don't know! Seriously the man probably has everything he wants or needs. I asked him and he said "oh just whatever cologne you like"....REALLY?? I really don't think he wants a bottle of Mary Kay Belara! I am not use to shopping for a man. I realize this now *okie smacks herself on the forehead for not thinking about this a few weeks ago instead of waiting 10 days before Christmas*. He did say something about some cologne and I looked it up and found it on eBay. Believe me when I say he won't be getting it. There is no way in hell I would ever pay $1,200 for a set of vintage cologne!

So now the dilemma is what to give this person! A tie? The man probably has over 100. A shirt? Nope, doesn't need any of those. A pair of pants...he mainly wears suits. Not getting him jewelry *okie gets a little freaked out by men who wear too much jewelry*, he doesn't have time to go to sporting events and not that there would really be any good ones to go to around here, don't know what size shoes he wears and not gonna ask, not getting anything for his vehicle...it's fully loaded, and tools are out of the question! *okie cracks up even thinking about him using a drill or router* So I am just stuck!

I now realize why I have a lot of female friends rather than male friends. Females are so much more easier to shop for and please! I never even had to ask any of my female friends what they would like for Christmas...I usually always know what they would like and if all else fails I can just make them something.

Ya know come to think of it, that Old Spice guy on TV is kinda sexy and since Dos Equis beer makes a man the most interesting man in the world I am thinking a bottle of beer and some Old Spice and calling it good! *okie walks off huffin and cussin about avoiding male friends in the future*

  5. Does he like tech-related stuff? A Kindle, a ClickFree backup device for his computer? Maybe a nice bottle of wine?

  6. Shirley, I have an EXCELLANT idea. You now Brown's or Black's in Ada on Main? They have these woolen socks that wash like regular and are wonderful. Not really cheap...but he will love them. My hubby got me 3 pair a couple years ago and they are awesome...don't shrink, keep ya warm, are not too personal and will make him feel are warm and fuzzy. Louise

  7. What about home baked biscuits, chocolates or cakes? And some special bottles of beer? I agree - the men are sooooooo difficult to buy for! :-) I'm sure he'll like it whatever you get. Jude.x

  8. I don't know how much you have to spend but a gift card to a spa for a male facial, manicure--yes men get them..massage..... All depends on your budget. I just got this for my friend who joined the 50 club that has everything.

  9. You totally crack me up lady! I agree that some men are hard to shop for.... NOT all men! JUST SOME! LOL If he likes to read you should get him a kindle.... or some of his favorite books... Or if he's a movie buff.... get him some DVDs.... That's something you could never go wrong with... All my boys and hubby love getting DVD's... Find out if he has a blue ray player or regular one.... and pick out some westerns or scarface type of movies that guys like! Those are a nice alternative.... Or if he plays any PC games... Guys play those too... You never know until you ask... But DVD's would be at the top of the list! Good luck!

  10. Depending on budget...how about one of those places that you can order meal delivery. My MIL was given that as a gift and it was very good.

  11. You can never go wrong with a book, magazine subscription or music. Maybe even a gift basket of yummy goodies that you can buy/bake and a nice bottle of wine, or beer or even Port, depending on what you put in the basket. You could also give him a book of coupons for fun activities you can do together - the nature of activities would depend on the nature of your relationship with this man :) or where you would like the relationship to go hehehe

  12. How about a gift certificate to Amazon.com? That's my favorite present to receive. Or to a restaurant?

  13. I agree males are the hardest to buy for. Depending what kind of friend he is or you would like him to be a home cooked meal by candle lite and instead of buying him a massage give him one
yourself...hmmmm....dont forget to warm the baby oil!!!

  14. I like the idea of beer and food!! lol Men do love to eat and drink, so why not combine them in a basket of goodies! You can put in some of his favorite snack foods or even make something if you like to bake, if not then just get those kinds of goodies and fill the basket. Does he cook?? If so you can add some aditional groceries in the basket with a recipe from your cookbook, or better yet, make a cookbook of yours for him!! Ok I'm out of ideas-I have problems with the men in my life! lol
