It's not safe....

for me to do any posting at this point. I have gone from a happy go lucky person to being a pissed off bad attitude individual! While they are saying Oklahoma City has had 29 days of 100 degree or more temperature this summer I don't think they are including my town because I swear since the beginning of June we have had maybe...MAYBE...5-6 days where the temperature didn't hit 100+.

I was a good sport for awhile. I kept thinking it was a fluke and we were having a few days of August in June. But now here it is middle of July and we are still in this heat dome *okie still thinks she wants to shoot the heel out of the man on tv that was explaining it, especially when he said "and there is no relief in sight"*.

So my dear readers I apologize for not being able to post but at this time I don't think it is safe for me to do postings because they would likely not be very nice!

  2. I adore your ability to tell it like it is. My family is in West Texas. They feel your pain. They are so water restricted it's not even funny. I'm hoping for a cool day for you. ASAP. We are about to enter a massive heat wave here in the East. Ours comes with humitity. I'm pretty sure I'm part fish because I'm positive I'm just inhailing water with every breath I take.

  4. Forecasting a heat index of 110 for tomorrow in Green Bay, WI. Not our normal weather. If you need me, I'll be in the pool unless the water evaporates.

  5. Time to head west my dear and come visit us out in Oregon where it is a cool 72 degrees on our hottest days lately. Actually I feel like I have been ripped off when it comes to summer. Apparently summer is stuck in the middle part of the country leaving us this icky rainy stuff we get all year round, sheesh!!

  6. I feel your pain, Okie! It's been miserably hot here in Central Florida since the middle of May and will continue to be so until late October - early November. Hang in there, girl. Have a frozen margarita (or two) -- it'll cool you off and improve your mood!! LOL!

  8. I don't "do" heat. I am 47 and have a few xtra pounds, so it is an ugly thing for me to get out in this heat. HOWEVER, we pulled the trigger and had our above ground pool installed yesterday. Thankfully we are not at a water rationing stage here yet, although after I get this 14000 gal. bad boy filled we may be. It is my own personal lake. Hope to be swimming by the weekend! Got a salt system, too.

  10. I feel your pain. Stay in your pool and keep cool. I don't do anything in the summer because I hate the heat and it makes me very nasty. I tell people that I will not come to a party or picnic if it is outside because of the heat.

  11. Hot does bad things to a persons spirit. I sure hope you have air. It was 104 when I got in my car yesterday here in WI and we are so not use to that kind of weather here. But it will only be a week. I hope. I have in laws who are 90 and 95, in there in own home no air. They refuse to come and stay with any of us with air. They have fans. It is making us all nuts.
Ok stop watching the TV and make a ice smoothie and maybe put some happy juice in it. LOL

  12. Okie I wouldn't be doing well with that heat either. Here is your invitation to come visit me in Wa. State. Cool off and enjoy the beautiful area in which I live. Come on pack your bags fly into Seattle and I will pick you up. I think we would have a great time together as you get cooled off. I am serious!

  16. You are not alone! The heat is affecting us all. It tends to bring out the crabiness in me! LOL Go jump in your pool and cool off. Or think about that below zero cold weather we get in the winter. That might cool us off. LOL Hang in there!

  18. LOL!!! Try living in AZ! I think we had our first 100+ back in April and we're not usually done until October or November. 110+ is standard out here. I just stay inside and craft!
