A friend of mine went on one. In 2013 we did a Carnival out of Galveston on the Magic, and really enjoyed that as well. We are in Corpus Christi, so Galveston is very doable for us. I really, really, really want to go on a scrapbook cruise. There is one from Galveston in May. Just need a buddy to go with. We enjoy cruising so much that we have a new tag line. Anytime we are doing something fun, we say the only way for it to be better was "if we were doing this on a ship." Works for anything!! Our trip was to Alaska, and no it's not cold, very pleasant weather and just beautiful! We had some special needs and Royal Caribean met and exceeded our expectations without even a blink of an eye! When we arrived at our first port, Princess was also docked and we were alerted that there was an outbreak on their ship and many people were ill. All the necessary steps were taken to insure our health and well being as well as making us aware. They were very pro-active in communicating and taking action. We were so impressed with how things were handled. When we arrived back in Indianapolis, there were many families waiting for their parties (who were on the Princess) and were never informed they were still hospitalized in Canada! You will be treated like royalty! Now if I can talk my land-loving husband into it ... after all, I would hate to have to venture off on my own and leave him behind. (*wink*) It sounds like you have really done your cruise homework and selected one that will be great for you. I know you and Karen are going to have a fabulous time.Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16519462888786070950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226280836740630353.post-59244596610555998042014-01-04T10:44:56.102-06:002014-01-04T10:44:56.102-06:00Oh girl, I remember clearly when I came home from ...Oh girl, I remember clearly when I came home from my first cruise and the next morning I was like "I gotta fix my own breakfast?" Our cabin was tiny but that didn't seem to bother us much either since we didn't stay in our rooms much anyway. okieladybug or okie_ladybughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09132286970223817033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226280836740630353.post-62567327354282715672014-01-04T08:44:03.302-06:002014-01-04T08:44:03.302-06:00Cruising is the best of all trips. The only problem is coming home to where family won't continue to pamper you. I like both, but Carnival is a good, basic cruise for a great cost. Royal Caribbean is a little pricier, but much more elegant. Both are now sailing out of Galveston also, which makes it easier for me.Debbie (from Sugar Land)https://www.blogger.com/profile/06476785051972317564noreply@blogger.com
